Frequently Asked Questions
1. What and why is there a free consultation requirement? The consultation is an opportunity for us to discuss your goals, current and past injuries, joint health, etc. You will experience the reformer, stability chair, and spring tower in order to experience how spring variable resistance feels in the body.
2. No waitlist! How? Your monthly membership means you buy and reserve your minimum time slots each week (3, 2, or 1), 60-90 days in advance so there's no waitlist. It's your appointment time. The included drop-ins are as space is available. You can add yourself to a waitlist if you have the flexibility to wait for a cancelation to use your drop-ins
3. What should I wear? Grip socks and comfortable form-fitting clothes you can move freely in. All clothing should be free from zipper, buckles, studs and other embellishments that will damage the vinyl.
4. I've never done Pilates! What should I expect? Everyone starts somewhere! Classes are small for this purpose! You don't need experience or flexibility. Just come with an open mind and ready to have a great time! If you'd like to discuss your specific needs, email be1corfit@yahoo.com or call/ text 256-258-9388
5. What if I'm pregnant? Please consult your doctor before starting any fitness program. That being said, the instructor will walk you through modifications dependent upon your trimester. Because our classes are small, you will receive all the attention you deserve to help you move safely and enjoyably.
6. Does 1COR offer beginner classes? The classes are small on purpose so I can meet you where you are, provide alternatives and modifications, and support you through your pilates experience.
7. What if I have arthritis, osteoporosis, or a joint replacement? I've worked with individuals with a variety of conditions. I can help you modify safely and remain pain free. If there's a movement that's contraindicated for your condition, I'll give you an alternative.
